The Leap: What Happens When You Choose Faith Instead of Fear

There are moments in life that test every fiber of your being.

Not in loud, dramatic ways—but in quiet, trembling choices.
The kind you make alone.
The kind that demand you risk your comfort in exchange for your becoming.
The kind that ask:
Will you trust the light, even when the path disappears?

Recently, I stood at one of those cliffs.
The job I had—the job that paid the bills, that gave me a title, that looked like success on the outside—was breaking me on the inside.

My body began to hold the stress.
My mind was never still.
My relationships frayed.
I was always “on,” and never well.

And yet… I stayed.
Because fear whispers:
“What if you don’t find something better?”
“What if this is the best it gets?”
“What if you leap and there’s nothing waiting?”

But I knew deep down:
My health, my peace, and my purpose were worth more than a paycheck.

So I did the unthinkable.
I walked away.

And that’s when the real journey began.

What followed wasn’t immediate magic.
It was doubt. Panic. Silence.
That terrifying space where your faith is tested after the leap but before the net appears.
I found myself asking:
“Did I just make a huge mistake?”

But something unexpected began to happen.
The stillness became sacred.
I began to see how much of my life was ruled by fear—not just in jobs, but in everything.
I spoke about faith, but I wasn’t living it.

So, I surrendered.

And when I let go…
things shifted.

Not because I had all the answers.
But because I made space for alignment.
Because I stopped forcing, and started trusting.
Because I remembered that:
I don’t have to see the whole staircase to take the first step.

So, to the woman reading this who is terrified to leap…
I see you.
You are not weak for being scared.
You are not behind for hesitating.
But please hear me—
You don’t need certainty to choose freedom.

You only need one brave moment of yes.
One deep breath of surrender.
One reminder that your becoming is always worth the risk.

  1. Hi Nadine,

I just want to say how much your stories mean to me. On some of my hardest days, your words have been a light—I always go back and reread them, and I often share them with friends who are struggling too. One of my friends even told me she had given up on life, and after reading one of your stories, she found the courage to pick herself back up and keep going.

Your words are truly positive and powerful. Thank you for always sharing your heart—you never know just how many lives you’re touching.

    With gratitude,

    V!
